[SOLVED] Icecat crashes on Slackware
Icecat started crashing with the message: "Gah, your tab crashed"
The fix (for me) was to:
about:config in Icecat...
Search for browser.tabs.remote.autostart and set the value to False.
After that, it's working again.

Trying to make virtual machine go into grub-rescue mode for practice
I am studying for the LPIC-1 Exam 101 and I need to create a practice environment, so I can learn how to fix a broken boot loader that is in grub-resue mode. I was wondering what files I need to delete to bring up the grub rescue prompt. I am using qemu for my virtual machine and Debian for my OS. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

virtualbox won't work after sudo apt update sudo apt upgrade
virtualbox 6.1 won't work properly after I used this below:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
I got this error from vb for each of my vb os:
Code: Failed to load R0 module /usr/lib/virtualbox/VMMR0.r0: Unable to locate imported symbol 'SUPR0FpuBegin' for module 'VMMR0.r0' (VERR_SYMBOL_NOT_FOUND).
Failed to load VMMR0.r0 (VERR_SYMBOL_NOT_FOUND). Never had problems with virtualbox until I implemented that code in terminal.I can opened up virtualbox but not any of my virtualbox os.
Why does something always go haywire after I use:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
Why does everyone request the above when you want to download software?
I don't want to uninstall vb either.
Thanks in advance

av1 (not avi) video codec
None of my video players can play a video encoded with the av1 codec. They're all old anyway.
I have the 'aomdec' command line tool, but it isn't working. It begins to decode to mp4, but it only goes so far before it gets killed by some mysterious hitman.
Code: terminated by signal SIGKILL (Forced quit) It dies at varying stages, but there seems to be a limit because it dies at that same point very frequently in a dozen or so attempts.
After googling the issue, it seems it is still a very new and mostly unsupported codec.
Is there something else I can do?
TIA
